Social psychology has an important role to play yes. I think all the social sciences come into play. Looking at the individual in regard to who they are within themselves,their life experiences, within society, their culture, and how society is changing all play a role. 
Just as it is not all about technology it is not ALL about people either. The organization, its objectives and resources also need to be part of the equation too.</description>

I agree that the social sciences have a lot to play in this field. To your point, I think there should be more concentration on the social aspect, rather than the technologies.
